The Burned Children’s Club is very proud to have some very helpful, generous and influential patrons who fully understand our aim and what we set out to achieve. All of our Patrons take the time to visit us when we have events and socials. They fully interact with the Club and join in with our activities and the children. We are pleased and honoured to have them as our friends.

Sir Michael Hodgkinson and Lady Elspeth Hodgkinson

Sir Michael Hodgkinson and Lady Elspeth Hodgkinson are staunch patrons of our Club and have provided ongoing support. Sir Michael Hodgkinson is one of the country’s most respected business leaders, and was the former Chief Executive of the UK airport operator, BAA plc. Sir Michael was knighted in the 2003 Queen’s Birthday Honours for services to the air travel industry. Together with is wife, Lady Elspeth, they are both actively involved in a number of charities. 

Jamie and Louise Redknapp

Jamie and Louise Redknapp have been huge advocates and supporters of our Club from the outset. Jamie is a well-known former English footballer who is now a football pundit with Sky Sports. Louise is an English singer and television presenter, known as a member of the girl group Eternal and later as a solo artist. She is also a judge on ITV’s ‘So You Think You Can Dance?’

Honourable Member Professor James Frame FRCs

Professor James Frame is an accomplished and respected aesthetic surgeon who is currently senior consultant surgeon at the Springfield Hospital, Chelmsford. Professor Frame is a prolific published author of over 80 peer renowned papers, book chapters and articles on burn care, trauma, and reconstruction and in aesthetic surgery. As a Senior House Officer and Registrar, he was the main author and researcher in the field of advanced burn injury care, tissue transplantation and regeneration. His continued his special interests within the NHS including burn care, breast cancer reconstruction and the surgical repair of soft tissue sports injuries particularly in elite athletes.
