Parent / Carer

Paul Calvesbert heads our Support Group, as a parent with a child that has been burned, he fully understand the need for support, not only for the child but also for the involved family which sometimes can be forgotten. Whilst your child is being treated for their injuries the parent/carer will be very emotional, perhaps with guilt and will be very uncertain of the possible outcome.

This is where our support group may help, we have people that you can talk to and if we do not have the answers, then we will find out for you.

The Burned Children's Club bring families together so that they can be with people that understand what they are going through. We do this through social interactive events such as Stansted Fire Services Funday, disco's and fundraising events. Recently we have been organising family weekends at Grafham Water Centre, which gives you a relaxed and friendly way to get to know each other. Not only do you get the chance to try out some of the activities that they have to offer, we have a guest speaker, great food and a great time. The children are taken care of and looked after by our volunteers, Its a very informal event.

As you will see from our Diary and by reading the Blogs we have a lot to offer, your point of contacts are not limited to just Paul, we are all there to help you, see our contact page for more information.
